Game Summary
First Half
Today’s visitors are Greets Green and it is the visitors that get off to a good start and create a number of chances in the first fifteen minutes but Colron’s defence is up for the challenge and are effectively repelling every attack. As the game goes on Colron start creating their own chances and six minutes before half time Harry finds the net. Colron go into half time with a slender one goal lead.
Second Half
The second half springs into action and both teams are producing some good football and a number of chances are created, buts it’s Colron that breaks the deadlock twenty four minutes into the second half when Jay scores Colron’s second goal of the match. Greets Green start to press forward and start chasing the game, a ball is slotted through into Colron’s goal area forcing an illegal challenge, the referee blows for a penalty. The penalty is well taken, and GG reduce the two-goal deficit by one. The Colron management change the team for the last ten minutes by shoring up the defence. The final whistle blows and Colron have won a closely contested match against a very good Greets Green team. Well done lads.
Congratulations to Aiden (parents’ player) and Benzie (man of the match) well played boys!
