Game Summary

First Half

Playing : Jake, Kyrie, Connor, Tommy and Zac R

On the bench: Cohen, Fisayo

Colron were soon on top and putting Tipton under pressure, with a shot from Zac soon after the kick off. From the goal kick Tommy tackled to gain possession, passed to Zac who shot again but it was parried by the goalkeeper. Tommy managed a shot from the rebound but was narrowly wide. There was time for Connor to make two good clearances before the end of a scoreless first half.

Second Half

Cohen and Fisayo back on pitch and Connor and Kyrie on the bench.

Colron were soon on top with a good cross from Zac which Fisayo almost netted. Following a corner, Cohen surged into the penalty area, only to be taken out by a Tipton defender. A penalty was awarded and Cohen stepped up and coolly slotted the ball home into the top left hand corner of the net to put Colron one up. Colron were now dominating the play and clearly the stronger team. Three successive corners taken by Cohen resulted in one shot by Zac that went wide but soon after the restart Zac gained possession after a great tackle and saw his shot saved only for a Tipton defender to put the rebound into his own net to put Colron two up. Zac then went one better scoring his fourth goal of the day to put Colron three in front.

Seconds before the end of the match Tipton scored from a great shot 10 yards out to get a consolation goal, despite a good attempt to save by Jake.

Player of the Match

In what was now pouring rain Zac thoroughly deserved the Man of the Match trophy.

Well done Colron Blues!
