Game Summary

First Half

Todays opponents are a much-improved Walsall Wood Saints (WWS) who are on a winning run of two games in succession, so Colron Boys need to be on top form. From the whistle WWS have the majority of play and in the first ten minutes have a number of half chances. Slowly Colron start to take control of the game and on eighteen minutes Benzie rifles a shot from the edge of the WWS box that gives the keeper no chance 1-0 to Colron. With confidence growing, Colron increase the pressure on the WWS defence and just before half time a ball is whipped into the WWS area perfectly for Benzie to head the ball into the net. Colron go into half time with a 2-0 lead.

Second Half

Colron start the second half full of confidence and nine minutes in Shavoy scores giving Colron a three-goal lead. Four minutes later Owen puts his name on the score sheet with a goal, Colron now have a four-goal lead. The goal frenzy hasn’t finished, when the lead is reduced to three, a momentary lapse of concentration in the Colron defence three minutes later lets a WWS attacker slip through and score. Colron now lead 4-1, but are not finished scoring, Shavoy scores his second of the match with fifteen minutes remaining, Owen also get his second goal six minutes later. The game finishes 6-1 to Colron a well-deserved win. Well done lads.
