Game Summary

First Half

After last week’s highly contentious away match Colron Boys are back at home eager to get back into winning ways. The game kicks off and the match becomes a midfield battle with counter attacking tactics employed by both teams. Colron make a tactical change and restructure the team by putting Jordan up front as a target man. Colron continue to look the more dangerous team when they get into Strikes penalty area but cannot find the net and break the deadlock. The half time whistle blows and its honour’s even.

Second Half

After a half time talk from the Colron management the boys start the second half with a little more vigour and the pressure is starting to mount on the Strikes defence. Five minutes after the start, Owen puts Colron in front with a shot from close range 1-0. Confidence is growing and Colron continue to look the better team, twenty minutes into the half Harry adds to Colron’s goal tally with a well taken goal. The final goal comes from a Bobby corner with four minutes left to play, Ginge heading home from inside the six-yard box. The result, 3-0 to Colron a great team effort by the boys.

Congratulations to Jordan (parents’ player) and Bobby (man of the match) well played boys!
