Game Summary

First Half

After last week’s friendly, Colron Boys are back to a league match against Hayes Jaguars. From the whistle the boys are controlling play but find it difficult to break through a stubborn Jaguars’ defence and only have a few half chances to take the lead. Meanwhile, the Colron defence are confidently dealing with any attacks coming from the opposition throughout the first half. The boys go into half time with honours even but feeling a little disappointed they couldn’t manage a goal having dominated play.

Second Half

The second half starts and Colron step it up a gear, most of the play is now concentrated in the Hayes half. Colron are increasing the pressure with some great attacking passes and six minutes into the second half Harry scores to break the deadlock. Colron increase the tempo again and seven minutes later Shavoy scores. With a well-deserved two goal lead Colron continue their excellent attacking play and it isn’t long before Harry get his second goal of the match ten minutes before the final whistle. The match ends 3-0 to Colron Boys, another victory and another confident display of football by the lads, a great team effort.

Congratulations to Ginge (parents’ player) and Jordan (man of the match) well played boys!
