Game Summary

First Half

With the rain streaming the ref blows the whistle to start a very dramatic game. A very good and well organised physical Lakeside Swans (LS) team with home advantage and playing down a slightly sloping pitch. Pressing Colron back to their own half with wave after wave of LS attacks but, the home side are unable to breech Colron’s stubborn defence controlled by Ethan who is equal to any shots on target. With four minutes remaining of the first half LS managed to carve through the Colron defence and score. The boys go into half time 1-0 down.

Second Half

With Colron having the advantage of play down the pitch they take full advantage after an initial scare from a LS attack in the first couple of minutes. After this Colron took full control of the game and with the speed of Colron’s front players causing panic in the home sides defence. With five minutes to go Harry scores a great goal to level the match. The match finishes 1-1, a game of two halves, a fantastic performance from all the boys, defending so well in the first half and attacking brilliantly in the second, a true team effort. Well done boys you should be proud of yourselves.

Congratulations to Harry (parents’ player) and Ethan (manager’s player).
