Walmley Colron Football Round Up – Sept 25/26 2021

Saturday 25th September – Girls

U8s Girls

Well done to the U8 girls, winners today. Their first win under their belt. Starting to pass the ball and work as a team in their positions. It’s all starting to come together!

U10s Girls

We’re on the board, first win! 3 points to the girls under 10s, 5 goals & a clean sheet as well!

Sunday 26th September – Boys

U7s Boys

First win for the under 7 boys versus Crusaders in the end and a huge improvement on our first game.

U8 Boys

U8s had a narrow defeat away at Maypole. Terrific performance against a strong side and their ‘keeper had an absolute worldie. A game we might easily have won on another day, and also perhaps if we had not rotated to make sure all 9 players got game time, but really encouraging to see week-on-week improvement from everyone. Ryan hat trick and 2 for Archie.

U9 Blue

Two tough teams for the U9 Blues – see match report

U9 Yellow

U9s won v Glades. 3 goals for Jerome, 2 for Henry and a man of the match for Will in this Autumn cup fixture. A strong performance and could have been more.

U9 Bears

Bears U9 won v Leafield Athletic Dynamo. Great cup game, very physical game but 2nd half we dominated. 3 out of 3 so far.

U10 Cubs

The U10 cubs lost in a good competitive game, just switched off on set pieces in 2nd half that cost us.

U12s

WCFC U12s 10-2 FC Premier Stats

Our 1st Cup Game of the season, pretty one sided game today but very happy we kept our discipline today as before we may have all piled forward trying to get on score sheet and let more in at the back. Hattrick and MOTM going to Alex M, along with goals from Charlie T, Charlie B, Seth, Tobias and even a goal from “Safe Hands” himself, Keegan our Goalie, Well done to them all! Undoubtedly there will be tougher matches going forward.

U13s

U13s v Hillfield. Great performance with only 10 players after illness and injury depleted the team. However, the extra player and subs for the opposition eventually took its toll and we lost 4-1, despite only being 2-1 down with 20 mins to go.
